Every once in a while I find a hidden gem of a movie
streaming on Netflix. Today was no
exception. Though the plot may not be
the most original (though what is anymore) the execution of it was above
average.
Directed by Richard Gray, Mine Games is the story of a group of college graduates on their
way to a friend’s cabin for camping, hiking, and time to relax. When they nearly hit somebody who is standing
in the middle of the road, they veer into the trees and hit something which
ultimately results in their breaking down.
After making their way to the cabin, they find it abandoned yet decide
to stay the night and wait for their other friends to make it. Odd occurrences ensue, however, but it isn’t
until they find and explore an old abandoned mine that things really begin to
get weird.
Joseph Cross, Julianna Guill, Briana Evigan, Ethan Peck, and
Rafi Gavron star in this supernatural thriller that will have you glued to the
screen to see just what will happen next.
This concludes day 19 of my 31 Days of Horror. Only 12 more days to go until Halloween!
