August 23rd release dates!

Years ago when I worked at Suncoast one of the things I did to help improve our numbers for reservations was to compile a more comprehensive list of the new releases coming out on DVD than the one provided by our company.  This helped boost our numbers for pre-orders and special orders and also made our store stand out over our competitors by giving outstanding customer service.  Alas, all of the local Suncoast stores are closed in the Pittsburgh area (and possibly nationwide by now) and we the consumer are subjected to the whims of the big box stores on what they feel we want and will buy.  Selections are slim to none and getting slimmer.  With the economy hit or miss state by state more brick and mortar stores are closing their doors in an effort to cut their losses and survive this recession we are in.  What stores survive are keeping their inventory to the larger titles and the catalog can be lacking depending on the location.  I am not promising these lists to be complete 100%, but with my own digging on the internet through several different web sites, I have compiled what I hope is a pretty decent list of what is set to come out on DVD, Blu-ray and books.  I even separated out sections for the horror and anime fans on DVD.

Enjoy!
