James Farrow is a young student who dreams of life as an
artist yet is stuck living the life he believes his father wants for him. When his girlfriend gets pregnant, he brings
her to the back door of a doctor who will perform an abortion for her. When the procedure goes wrong and his
girlfriend dies, James is haunted by her.
Based on the story “The Ghostly Rental” written by Henry
James, The Haunting of Hell House is
a moody, Victorian ghost story starring Andrew Bowen as James and Michael York
as the Professor who tries to help him.
I first saw this movie on television not that long ago and
though it is slow paced, I felt it was well acted and scripted. If you like ghost stories, this movie is for
you. If you are more into the shock and
awe and scares then this probably isn’t the right fit for you.
