The year is 2008 and global warming has caused the tides to
raise enough to put many areas of London
under several feet of water. To make
matters worse, a serial killer is loose in the city and is ripping the hearts
out of its victims. Saddled with a new
partner, Detective Harley Stone is hot on the trail of the killer. As the two get closer to catching the killer,
it soon becomes apparent they are going to need a lot more guns…
Split Second is by
far one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
This science fiction creature feature is packed with plenty of one
liners, tongue-in-cheek humor, gory deaths and a whole lot of stuff being blown
up. Rutger Hauer stars as Detective
Stone with Alastair Duncan, Kim Cattrall, Alun Armstrong and Michael J Pollard
co-starring. All in all, this movie is
just plain fun.
