What would you do to have the apartment of your dreams? For
Danny Hill, all he has to do is spend twelve days locked in his deceased
Grandmother’s apartment and it is his at her low rent controlled price. Yet for Danny, this may not be as easy as he
believes when he begins to suspect he may not be alone after all.
Written by Jonathan Brett and directed by Henry Miller, Occupant stars Van Hansis as Danny Hill and
Thorsten Kaye as Joe, the doorman who helps Danny by getting him groceries and
other incidentals.
Occupant is a slow
burn and keeps you guessing as to what is going on. Is it the landlord? Is it Joe? Or is it something more
sinister? I can’t say that watching this
movie was a complete waste of time. I
did enjoy it however I’m not sure that it is one I would watch again. If you’re bored some night with nothing
better to do and this pops up in your queue, give it a shot. Otherwise don’t worry about tracking it down.
