When four astronauts become stranded after a meteor shower
they soon discover the meteors contain alien spores. When astronaut Ava Cameron is exposed to the
spores she goes the idiot route and hides the exposure from her fellow astronauts. As the rest of the crew continues their
attempt to restore their air supply and communications to send for help, Ava
undergoes a swift pregnancy and gives birth to something considerably less than
human. As if the crew doesn’t have
enough on its plate, they now have a new threat to contend with.
Co-written and directed by Roger Christian Stranded is a science fiction horror
film starring Christian Slater, Amy Matysio, Michael Therriault and Brenden
Fehr. The storyline is far from original,
the directing needs improvement but the acting is fairly decent. In spite of these factors I still found the
movie to be an enjoyable watch as a B-film and not a complete waste of my time. I have seen far worse and this movie took me
back to my youth when cheesy horror films were prominent on nighttime and
weekend television.
