Gail Osborne is your average teenage romantic who dreams of
finding the right man to fall in love with.
After going on a double date with her best friend, she thinks she finds
just that. But Gail has another problem…she
is being stalked. After several strange
phone calls, the general feeling of being watched, and a few creepy notes, Gail
becomes increasingly paranoid and terrified.
When everybody she talks to about it brushes it off as a prank she
withdraws into herself until one fateful evening when Gail is confronted by her
stalker…
Directed by Walter Grauman, Are You In The House Alone? stars Kathleen Beller as Gail. The movie also stars Blythe Danner, Scott
Colomby, Robin Mattson, and Dennis Quaid.
Though it is not your typical “horror” film, this does belong in the thriller
subgenre and speaks of a greater horror that continues to threaten woman on a
daily basis. Stalking is a very real
thing and terrifying for those being watched.
Though this movie may not give you the thrills and chills
from other stalker movies, it is definitely worth the watch if for no other
reason then to hear the idiocy of the advice given to this poor girl.
