It's the year 2016 and the suns increased solar flares have produced a barren wasteland that is void of water. Humans struggle to survive in a land without vegetation and wildlife. Hell follows the tale of three survivors who are driving toward higher ground with the hope of finding what they need. Scavenging for food, water, and gas, they encounter others who are struggling to survive. Some are helpful, while others are not so much.
Hell is a pretty straight forward formulaic apocalyptic tale. Filmed in German, the subtitles are easy to follow, and you won't miss any action while reading the dialogue. As with any movie, if the main characters made all the right decisions, it would be a boring film. That being said, there were a few tense moments within but the overall feeling was the same for all movies within this sub-genre: bleak, barren, and almost without hope.
I rate this one as well worth the watch.
