Work has been pretty hectic the past two weeks juggling two jobs at odd hours so I haven't been able to get much done in regards to updating reviews here. Last week I was able to catch this movie on Netflix and I have to say, even though it started out pretty rocky, it wound up being a pretty decent creature feature.
Nick Damici stars as Ambrose, a disabled war veteran who moves into a retirement community. On his first night, Ambrose discovers that something is amiss in his new community when his neighbor is murdered, and he is attacked. If not for his seeing eye dog, Ambrose would have met the same fate. Not to be deterred, Ambrose sets out to investigate and prepare for the next full moon (and next attack).
The filming may not be the best, in addition to the acting, direction, and script. (Don't go into this movie looking for great special effects either.) What I really enjoyed from the movie was the acerbic, yet likeable, Ambrose.
This one won't be winning any awards but it is a great distraction from the day-to-day grind.
