When a tour guide to one of America's most haunted houses brings her friends into the place of her work after hours to explore, she realizes too late that the rumors surrounding the home are correct.
When I first began to watch this movie, I thought for certain it was going to be a comedy horror. The beginning set-up with the stereotypical trio outside the gates was too campy for it to be otherwise. Unfortunately, I'm not quite certain the rest of the movie followed through with the same feel. At times, it seemed to flip flop between wanting-to-be-comedy and wanting-to-be-scary. The result turned out to be a rather boring tale with typical (and poorly executed) kill shots. The storyline overall was solid, if not generic. Being a low budget film, the acting and direction were what you'd expect. I think with a lot more money, better effects, better casting, better dialogue, etc, this could be a pretty decent haunted house movie.
If nothing else, when watching this movie you will learn the history surrounding the real Whaley house located in San Diego, California.
