When an emergency occurs at an off-world mining facility, a search and rescue team is dispatched to help. When members of this team return infected, a lethal lock down is initiated, annihilating an entire facility. A second team is called into action with a dual role: stop a lethal shipment of ore being sent to earth, and rescue the sole survivor of the previous team.
Fans of Event Horizon will definitely like this movie. I was also left with the feeling that I needed to watch Ghosts of Mars again to see if my memory was recalling true or false similarities of certain scenes. There are a few moments where the plot falls through in Infini and it almost feels as though the writer (or director) didn't know where to take the movie once it reached a certain point. The end pulls itself together (if not a bit rough) and leaves the viewer wanting to know more. Daniel McPherson does a great job as Whit Carmichael, the survivor in need of rescue. Though there are a lot of action scenes, this movie is a thinker so don't expect to have all of the answers spelled out for you.
