31 Days of Horror! Intruders

When Mia finds an old weathered page with the beginnings of a story written on it, she unwittingly summons Hollowface, a creature born of nightmares who lurks in the shadows searching for a child's face for its own.  As Mia finishes the story for a school assignment, Hollowface begins to haunt her and her family.

With this movie, I can't go into too much detail without giving away certain important plot points.  I will add that there is a second story line that is also going on while we watch that of Mia and her family.

While I found the ending to be a bit predictable, that certainly did not detract from the movie itself.  The characters, plot, and overall atmosphere were excellent as the story delves into childhood nightmares and the things that go bump in the night.  An excellent psychodrama, and a welcome addition to my 31 Days of Horror countdown to Halloween.
