31 Days of Horror! The Monster Squad

Delving into another sub-genre of horror, I couldn't help but add this horror comedy to the line up for this year's countdown.  Filmed in 1987, The Monster Squad is a great cult classic movie fit for the the entire family.

What I love best about this movie, is the rendition of the monsters, which give a wonderful nod to the Universal movie monster collection in visual style.  It's campy, riddled with cliches, and has a dialogue true to a time period before PC (politically correct) hit.  If you are from a generation that came after the '80's and you still haven't seen this, it's worth a whirl (just remember to have fun while watching and not take it so seriously).
