Movie Review! The Eleventh Victim

Hailey Dean tries and convicts one of her biggest cases - serial killer Curtis Burrell Cruise.  Once sentenced, Cruise attacks Dean which leads her to quit her job as a prosecutor, move out of state, and become a therapist.  Two years after the trial, she is still haunted by the memory of being attacked.  When Cruise is released from prison for a re-trial due to a technicality, Dean is unaware she is being hunted by the man who still haunts her dreams.  Bodies pile up and Dean is forced to confront her biggest fear.

Based on the best-selling novel by the same name, The Eleventh Victim is a pretty decent thriller.  As predictable as any other formulaic crime drama, the performances were pretty good in this one.  I haven't read the book yet, but I do remember it being a hit when I worked at a bookstore years ago.  I am curious to pick it up now after seeing the movie to see how close (or far) they translated it to film.  maybe one day a review of the book will pop up here...Until then, at least there is the movie.
