2017 seems to be the year for Stephen King with excellent adaptations hitting both the big and small screen! One such excellent rendition is 1922, a Netflix original starring Thomas Jane.
Based off of a novella by King, the movie follows the story of Wilfred James and his confession to killing his wife in 1922. Molly Parker costars as Arlette, the victim of the tale.
The story is a modern version of the Edgar Allan Poe short story, The Tell-Tale Heart. Jane does a remarkable performance as Wilf, as does the director by creating an atmosphere of suspense as we are led through the events of the past.
I have applauded Netflix on several occasions for their original content and they continue to impress me with each new release. If you are still on the fence for signing up with them, stop hemming-and-hawing and get on with it already. You won't be disappointed!
