31 Days of Horror! All the Boys Love Mandy Lane

Beautiful Mandy Lane (Amber Heard) isn't a party girl but, when classmate Chloe (Whitney Able) invites the Texas high school student to a bash in the countryside, she reluctantly accepts. After hitching a ride with a vaguely scary older man (Anson Mount), the teens arrive at their destination. Partying ensues, and Mandy's close pal, Emmet (Michael Welch), keeps a watchful eye on the young males making a play for Mandy. Then two of the students are murdered.

Day two and we have another one that has been popping up in my recommends list for a very long time.  Though not as slow going and bizarre as Clinical, this one was a few steps ahead.

Patterned after the slasher films of the late '70's & '80's, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane isn't all that bad - once it got started, that is.  Sadly, that didn't happen until well into the movie.  Before the killings begin, prepare to be put to sleep with the typical trappings of teenagers partying and trying to score.
