Series Review! Sisyphus: the Myth

I have been watching Netflix for too many years to count.  One of the largest reasons is the ability to binge watch a show and not have to wait anxiously every week for the next episode.  Does this mean I am usually behind the rest of the world for most shows?  Absolutely.  But the payoff of being able to hit next episode far out weighs the stress of waiting.  So it was with trepidation that I decided to begin watching this series on Netflix as it is a weekly show.  And the above still applies...because it is murder having to wait until they drop the next episode.

That being said, this show is amazing.  From the very first episode I was hooked.  It has a wonderful combination of characters that will make you laugh and shake your fist at.  Though the series will not be dropped completely on Netflix until April 8th, I felt it was worthy to write a quick review and get some more viewers watching!

You may be asking, what's it about?

Sisyphus: the Myth is a South Korean science fiction drama that centers on a wealthy, genius engineer, Han Tae-sul, who meets a woman from the future, Kang Seo-hae, who tells him she came back in time to save his life, and ultimately the future.  (That's about as short a description as I could get).  What I love about this show is how the characters develop.  It offers enough of their past to hint at their motives without revealing too much to make the story boring.  Han Tae-sul is such a fun character and his intelligence is off the charts with what he is able to accomplish on the fly.  Kang Seo-hae is the perfect counterpart with her ability to adapt quickly to circumstances while keeping the bad guys at bay.

There is still plenty of time to get caught up and wait for the next episode to become available.  I highly recommend this series and think you will enjoy it as much as I am!
