In an effort to save their marriage, Natalie and Kevin purchase a new house in order to create better memories, and have a fresh start. Kevin works on crime scene clean ups and finds a great deal on a newly renovated house that is offered dirt cheap after a murder suicide. As soon as they move in, however, strange things begin occurring. Is the house haunted? Or is something more sinister afoot?
Inspired by true events, Aftermath does have its share of creepy scenes. There are more than a number of awkward scenes where the pacing is just off but overall, I really enjoyed the movie. For the full effect, I recommend watching alone at night with the lights out. That will definitely add the appropriate atmosphere.
