Movie Review! Prey

On a bachelor party weekend, Roman, his brother, and a group of friends go kayaking and hiking before his wedding day. During the hike, tensions arise regarding business deals but soon, they discover they are not alone in the woods. When one of them is shot by what they assume is a stray bullet from a hunter, they try to leave and quickly discover it was not accidental. As they flee into the forest, friendships are tested and truths are revealed.

Overall, I enjoyed this. The story develops the characters enough that you can either root for their survival or their demise. The only parts I didn't care for were the flashbacks scattered within of Roman and his fiancé. Though I understand why (plot wise) they included them, it threw off the pacing of the film. Perhaps the best explanation for the movie as a whole was a quote from Roman. To paraphrase: who said it had to make sense?
