I never had Nickolodeon. (I still don't.) But I was happy to see the limited series pop up on Netflix so that I could watch the three episode arc of the reboot from 2019!
Having never seen the original series, I have nothing to compare these episodes to. I did rather enjoy the story and the kids were a great group. Rafael Casal stars as Mr. Tophat (the big bad in the series) and he was decidedly creepy. So much so that I almost wish it was written for a more adult crowd so that he could ramp up the scares.
It is what it is and this short series is a great family show for Halloween (or any time in my household). Definitely a fitting addition for my countdown!
