When a couple escapes a war-torn South Sudan, they believe their troubles are behind them when they are accepted as refugees in an English town to start a new life. But the house they are given is not exactly what they expected. As if the insects and broken wiring weren't enough, it becomes clear very quickly that something else resides in their house with them.
This is a movie that has been hanging around in my queue for awhile. The other night I finally decided to sit down and watch it. In many respects, this is more of a supernatural drama. It follows their lives closely and gives you hints at their life before through dreams and memories.
The filming and acting is superb. And there are enough tense scenes to make you check the shadows more closely. Overall, I found this movie to be quite sad in an uplifting way. And you're going to have to see it for that statement to make any sense at all.
