Series Review! Elves

Having worked in retail for too many years to count, I am a bit particular when it comes to celebrating holidays. As in, I prefer to tackle one at a time. For example, until Thanksgiving occurs, I want nothing to do with Christmas. (Unless the movie/show combines holidays (i.e. Black Christmas, etc.) You can imagine my glee when Netflix dropped a new series, Elves, on Sunday...after Thanksgiving.

Elves follows the story of a family determined to spend Christmas together disconnected from the mainland. The parents work a lot and time together is minimal so they plan their vacation on a remote island for a well deserved break. After an accident occurs, and the family strikes something on the road, they soon discover why the island is remote and doesn't like visitors: elves are real...and they don't like humans very much.

This series was a fun binge as the episodes are less than 30 minutes and the story is engaging enough to hit in one sitting. If you're looking for some light horror with a Christmas theme, this one should fit the bill.
