Movie Review! Re/Member: A Thrilling Time-Loop Adventure

Netflix is known for its original content, and they’ve done it again with the 2023 release of Re/Member. This movie follows six high schoolers stuck in a murderous time loop and their quest to break the curse and finally see another day.

Re/Member is an edge-of-your-seat thriller about a group of friends stuck in a lethal time loop. The catch? To break the loop, they must find the scattered remains of an unknown victim before their next reincarnation, or else they die trying. Each character brings something unique to the story—from the fearless leader who never gives up, to the smart one who comes up with solutions no one else can think of, to the meek one who eventually finds strength within himself—they all have qualities we can relate to and root for as they race against time (literally). 

The visuals are masterfully crafted and keep you on your toes as you try to figure out what exactly is happening in each scene. From intense action sequences that will have you gripping your seat cushions, to dreamy flashback scenes that will make you feel like you’re living in a different era altogether, each shot has been carefully designed to give viewers an unforgettable experience. Plus, don’t forget about those unexpected plot twists that will leave you wanting more!

What would a movie be without its soundtrack? Re/Member has definitely done justice in this department; every song and sound effect perfectly complements each scene and really adds depth to the characters and story line. From catchy pop music during lighthearted moments, to suspenseful soundtracks during moments of peril—the music elevates each scene and gives you a sense of emotion like no other.
