Liam Neeson is back, and once again proves why I’ll watch anything he stars in. Ice Road: Vengeance takes the action from the icy Canadian wilderness to the towering peaks of Nepal, where Mike (Neeson) travels to scatter his late brother’s ashes on Mt. Everest. What should be a personal, emotional journey quickly turns into a fight for survival when Mike and his mountain guide cross paths with ruthless mercenaries aboard a tour bus. Suddenly, it’s not just about honoring his brother’s memory—it’s about protecting innocent passengers and defending the homeland of the local villagers.
I really enjoyed the first film, The Ice Road, but I think I liked this sequel even more. It manages to build on Mike’s story and give us the closure we didn’t quite get the first time around. Yes, there are those classic “did they really just do that?” moments you expect in an over-the-top action flick, but that’s part of the fun. The characters are likable, the fight sequences are gripping, and the high-stakes mountain setting adds a refreshing new layer of tension.
Ice Road: Vengeance delivers exactly what fans want—edge-of-your-seat thrills, emotional stakes, and Liam Neeson doing what he does best. If you enjoyed the first film, you’ll definitely want to watch this one. I highly recommend it.
