Folk horror is always a treat when done right, and this one had me intrigued from the opening setup. It’s atmospheric, strange, and just the right amount of unsettling.
Movie Description:
Five people traveling by camper crash into a tree. When they recover, the road they were driving on has been replaced by an impenetrable forest and a wooden house.
My Review:
This was a decent Italian horror movie with some solid folk horror vibes. The dubbing was surprisingly well done too—which is a huge plus for those who aren’t fans of subtitles. It blended tension with a touch of dark humor, which gave it its own flavor.
A fun and creepy pick for fans of the subgenre.
