Some movies just never lose their edge, no matter how many times you’ve seen them—and Identity is one of those rare gems. It’s part psychological thriller, part mystery, and 100% gripping from start to finish.
Movie Description:
When a vicious storm breaks out in the Nevada desert, ten people seek refuge in an isolated motel. At the same time, a serial killer (Pruitt Taylor Vince) under the care of psychiatrist Doctor Mallick (Alfred Molina) awaits execution for murdering a group of motel guests. As the storm-stranded travelers realize they’re being killed off one by one, limo driver Ed Dakota (John Cusack) fights to stay alive and uncover the truth.
My Review:
This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Even knowing the ending doesn’t take away from the tension—it still keeps you on edge as the characters race to solve the mystery. In fact, rewatching it only makes it better; you start spotting the subtle clues you missed the first (or even tenth) time around.
A masterclass in suspense and storytelling. Definitely recommend this one.
