There’s something inherently creepy about taking “the shortcut,” especially when every instinct says not to. This one sets up that classic small-town mystery vibe right from the start.

My Review:
This wasn’t a terrible movie, but it definitely took its time getting anywhere. The slow start and sluggish middle made it a bit of a chore to sit through, though it finally picked up near the end. There were a few decent moments sprinkled in, but overall, it’s pretty predictable fare.
Not bad for background viewing, but not one I’d rush to revisit.
