Revenge-fueled supernatural stories can be a lot of fun when done right. Unfortunately, this one didn’t quite find its footing despite an interesting setup.
Movie Description:
When a Chinese exchange student is bullied by a group of popular girls, she befriends a mysterious person who helps her get revenge.
My Review:
The premise is familiar—bullied girl finds a friend, and then strange, supernatural things begin to happen. It’s a setup that could’ve gone in several intriguing directions, but somewhere along the way, it lost focus. The movie ends up feeling more like a supernatural after-school special than a genuine horror film.
Not awful, but definitely not memorable either.
