31 Days of Horror: Day 12 — Ripper: Letter From Hell (2001)

Sometimes it’s fun to dip back into the early 2000s era of slashers—a time filled with mystery, mood, and plenty of dramatic reveals. Ripper: Letter From Hell is one of those under-the-radar gems that still holds up after all these years.

Movie Description:

After the murders of several college students, a woman (A.J. Cook) believes a killer is copying Jack the Ripper.
Director: John Eyres

My Review:

This was a fun slasher. I remember loving it when I first watched it, and every time I’ve revisited it since, it still delivers. The kills are inventive, the mystery angle keeps things moving, and A.J. Cook makes for a solid lead.

It’s got that early-2000s horror charm—moody lighting, stylish pacing, and a twisty setup that keeps you guessing until the end. Ripper: Letter From Hell might not be as well-known as some of its genre peers, but it’s a solid slasher through and through and well worth a rewatch.
