The Woman in Cabin 10

The Woman in Cabin 10
takes Ruth Ware’s bestselling novel to the screen with a stylish and suspenseful setup: a journalist aboard a luxurious yacht witnesses what she believes is a passenger going overboard—but when no one believes her, she’s forced to dig deeper, risking her own life to uncover the truth.

The cast is strong—Keira Knightley, Guy Pearce, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw deliver solid performances—and the film captures the isolation and unease of being trapped at sea where appearances deceive and everyone has secrets. The atmosphere is polished, the visuals are sleek, and the tension holds steady throughout.

That said, the mystery itself doesn’t quite reach the depths it promises. It’s fairly predictable and follows familiar genre tropes, so if you’ve seen a few thrillers, you’ll probably spot the twists coming. Still, it’s well executed and worth watching for the performances and mood alone.

If you enjoy elegant psychological thrillers with a strong cast and a slow-burn pace, The Woman in Cabin 10 makes for a solid evening watch—even if it doesn’t break new waters.
